CAISSE D’ÉPARGNE RHÔNE-ALPES

FILM HANDI@CCESS
May 2014, Albertville, France

Caisse d’Epargne Rhône-Alpes, a member bank of BPCE Group of banks, has developed the “Handi@ccess” label, which covers all the measures and actions implemented to serve the disabled through the services and facilities it offers its users, both in its physical branches and through its online services.

In order to share its initiatives in favor of welcoming all disabilities*, the bank has decided to shoot a film-report presenting this label in Albertville, the first branch in the network to have completely rethought its facilities, such as: wheelchair-height ATMs, special lighting adapted for the visually impaired, accessibility for deaf or hard of hearing customers with the Acceo service, which provides instantaneous speech transcription and video-interpretation services in French Sign Language. This ACCEO service won the Employees’ prize at the BPCE Bank group’s Innovation Trophies!

Caisse d’Epargne Rhône-Alpes wished to anticipate the upgrading of its Publicly Accepted Institutions (ERPs) in order to be “ready” for the transition to the law on equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship for the disabled (Disability Law of February 11, 2005), which on January 1, 2015 required all ERPs to be accessible to the disabled, regardless of the disability: motor, visual, auditory, mental or psychological.
